Doctor Profiles
Photo, qualifications, specialty, languages, OPD days and NMC number, matched to the registration certificate.
Clinic website design in Nepal starts with what a worried patient needs in the first few seconds: which doctor, which day, what it costs and how to book. I’m Ujjwal Rupakheti, a web developer in Itahari. I build websites for clinics, dental practices, diagnostic labs and small hospitals, with doctor profiles, OPD schedules and booking.

01The pages
Patients arrive anxious, in a hurry and usually on a phone. Each page below answers one question they would otherwise ring your front desk to ask.
Photo, qualifications, specialty, languages, OPD days and NMC number, matched to the registration certificate.
One page per department or service, from dental and eye care to physiotherapy, in plain words, with the doctors who see those patients.
Doctors by day and time, edited from one screen when someone is on leave, so the website never sends a patient to an empty room.
Phone, WhatsApp or online slots, depending on how your front desk already works.
Tests by the names patients search, preparation such as fasting, sample times and when reports are ready.
The emergency number and address on every page, a map pin placed by hand, parking and the nearest landmark.
02Doctors
A patient choosing a doctor wants to know exactly who they will see. The Nepal Medical Council runs a public Find Registered Doctors search on nmc.org.np, where anyone can look a doctor up by full name, NMC number or degree. A good profile shows the NMC number and links to that search, so a patient can confirm it in seconds.
The Council’s code of conduct for social and electronic media, as reported by The Himalayan Times in 2022, asks doctors to use only the details on their NMC registration certificate, to post factual, evidence-based health content, and to get a patient’s informed consent before sharing their health details. I build profiles to that standard.
Name, degree and specialty exactly as on the NMC certificate, with the NMC number.
A link to the Council’s search beside each number. Staff registered with other councils show those details.
Each doctor’s days, times and branch, pulled from the one schedule your desk edits.
Nepali, English, Maithili or Hindi, which matters to patients coming from other districts.
Before-and-after images and patient stories only with written consent and nothing that identifies the patient.
Other hospitals or clinics on the page and in structured data, with practicesAt or hospitalAffiliation.
03Health content
Google calls topics that could significantly affect people’s health, financial stability or safety “Your Money or Your Life” (YMYL). For them, Google says its systems give even more weight to content showing strong E-E-A-T: experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness, with trust the most important.
Every health article shows who wrote it and which doctor reviewed it, with their NMC number and the review date. Google encourages accurate bylines.
Explain conditions the way your doctors do in the OPD, and link to the Ministry of Health and Population or WHO for public health topics.
No “guaranteed cure”, “100% success” or “best doctor in Nepal”. Claims like these cost trust with patients and with Google.
Each page shows when it was last reviewed, and fees, schedules and health content are checked on a fixed cycle.
Registered name, address, phone, PAN and licence details on the About page, so patients know who stands behind the advice.
Answer the questions patients ask at the counter, in plain Nepali or English. Google’s own guidance asks whether content is made to help people first.
04Booking
Not every clinic needs live online slots. Pick the level that matches how your front desk works today, and move up when the volume justifies it.
| Call or WhatsApp | Request form | Live slots | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | A single-doctor clinic | A polyclinic with a busy desk | Hospitals and multi-doctor clinics |
| The patient | Taps to call or message | Picks a doctor and a preferred time | Picks a real free slot |
| Your desk | Books in the register as now | Confirms by phone or SMS | Sees bookings appear on its board |
| Payment | At the counter | At the counter | Counter, or a QR deposit |
| Price | In the website | In the CMS website | Quoted per module |
GuruSanga, a booking platform I built for a client from a Figma design, works like the live-slots column. Slots come from each person’s own diary on Nepal time, payment is by eSewa or Khalti QR checked by staff, and online sessions run in Google Meet rooms that open and close on time. A clinic booking system reuses that logic with doctors, departments and OPD days.
For deposits, Sajilai shows the payment side: a QR with the amount and booking code already inside, counted only after the business approves the proof. If you offer online consultations, the NMC media code asks doctors to arrange a physical check-up when online care isn’t appropriate, so the booking flow offers that route. Read the GuruSanga case study.
05Privacy
Nepal’s Privacy Act, 2075 treats the privacy of a person’s physical and mental condition as inviolable and lists medical history and health reports among personal documents. Collecting personal data needs consent, and it may be used only for its stated purpose. That is a general description, not legal advice.
06Search
Many patients find a clinic through Google Maps or a search with a place in it. Structured data and a clean profile tell Google exactly what kind of clinic you are and who works there.
"@type": "MedicalClinic"Schema.org has specific types such as MedicalClinic, Dentist, Hospital and Physician. Google’s local business guidance says to use the most specific type possible.
["MedicalBusiness", "DiagnosticLab"]DiagnosticLab sits under MedicalOrganization only, not LocalBusiness, so a lab page pairs it with MedicalBusiness. Google accepts several types in one array.
"@type": "IndividualPhysician"IndividualPhysician with medicalSpecialty, and practicesAt pointing to your clinic, matching the profile text word for word.
aggregateRating: left outGoogle won’t show review stars for a business marking up reviews about itself, so I leave that out and send patients to your Google profile.
GBP: location + practitionersGoogle allows profiles for public-facing practitioners and for hospital departments that work as distinct units. The clinic keeps one profile for the location.
review link · QR codeAsk every patient, by link or QR at the counter. Google forbids rewards for reviews, asking only happy patients, and reviews from staff.

07Language and speed
Many patients, especially older ones and families from outside the city, read Nepali more easily than English, and most will open your site on a phone.
I build clinic sites in English and Nepali Unicode with a language switch and hreflang tags, so Google shows each version to the right reader. Department names keep the English term patients hear from doctors, such as ENT or USG, beside the Nepali. Your doctors check the medical wording before launch.
Large text, strong contrast and tap-sized buttons for older patients, and pages light enough to open on mobile data. Every launch is checked against Google’s Core Web Vitals and my website UX checklist.
08Proof
Booking, payments and staff-edited content are already in live work. Each case study shows what I built and how it works.

GuruSangaBookings from real slots in each diary, QR payments checked by staff and Google Meet rooms that open on time. Built from a Figma design.

SajilaiA rental marketplace with exact prices for any dates and QR payments for eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay or bank apps.

Pentagon CarpetsA website with a self-service CMS and three staff roles, the setup a front desk needs to update schedules.
09Pricing
A small static clinic site starts from NPR 18,000 and a clinic or hospital site with a CMS from NPR 35,000. Booking systems are quoted per module.
| Service | Starting price | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Small clinic websiteOne or two doctors, services, OPD times, map and WhatsApp | NPR18,000 | 1–2 weeks |

| Monthly SEO with local SEOProfile, reviews, department pages and a report | NPR30,000 / month | 3–6 months to see movement |

A two-doctor clinic with its own text sits near the starting price. A hospital with ten departments and live booking does not.
Not included: domain, hosting and photography. Every starting price is on my services page, and my guide to website cost in Nepal covers yearly running costs.
Cost, NMC numbers, booking and patient data, answered before you ask.
Ask me on WhatsAppWith me, a small static clinic website starts from NPR 18,000, and a clinic or hospital website with a CMS, department pages and doctor profiles from NPR 35,000. An online appointment booking system is quoted per module. Domain and hosting are extra, and the quote is fixed in writing before any work starts.
Yes. Showing the NMC number lets a patient confirm the doctor on the Nepal Medical Council’s public Find Registered Doctors search, which works by full name, NMC number or degree. Keep every profile to the details on the registration certificate, and update it when a doctor adds a qualification.
Yes, at three levels: a call or WhatsApp button, a request form your desk confirms, or live slots from each doctor’s schedule with an optional QR deposit. The first two come with the website; live booking is quoted per module. GuruSanga, which I built from a Figma design, uses the same slot logic.
Yes. A dental clinic website needs a page per treatment, from fillings and root canals to braces and implants, dentist profiles with registration details, clear fees if you publish them, and before-and-after photos only with written consent. It uses Dentist structured data and a Google profile with the dentist category.
It is, if the form asks only for what the booking needs, records consent and stores data on your own server with access by role. Nepal’s Privacy Act, 2075 treats health information as private and requires consent to collect personal data. Lab reports should never sit at a public link.
Use the most specific schema.org type: MedicalClinic, Dentist, Hospital or Physician, with a lab paired as MedicalBusiness and DiagnosticLab. Mark up each doctor as IndividualPhysician with medicalSpecialty and practicesAt. Leave out review stars for your own reviews, because Google won’t show them for self-collected reviews.
Yes. I build clinic sites in English and Nepali Unicode with a language switch and hreflang tags, so each patient sees their language and Google indexes both. Department names keep familiar English terms such as ENT beside the Nepali, and your doctors check the medical wording before the site goes live.
Yes. A hospital website needs a page per department with its doctors and OPD times, an emergency number on every page, and a schedule the front desk can change. Departments that work as distinct units can also have their own Google profiles. See how I work as a web developer in Nepal.
