Outsource Web Development to Nepal, Without the Usual Risks
Most US companies that have outsourced web development before have one bad story: the developer who went quiet, the missing code, the site that never ranked. Here is how I prevent each.
The developer goes quietYou get a working preview link every week with a short written update. If a milestone slips, you hear it from me first, with the new date.
You never get the codeThe code, repository and intellectual property transfer to your company on payment. Domain, hosting and accounts sit in your company’s name from day one.
The price keeps growingScope, timeline and price are fixed in writing. A new idea mid-project gets its own small quote, and you decide whether to add it.
The site never ranksI’m an SEO expert in Nepal as well as a web developer, so structured data, Core Web Vitals and crawlability are part of the build, not a later upsell.
Someone else does the workI write the code myself. Nobody else sees your code or your data without your written approval.

A US 9-to-5 never touches my normal working day, so I move my hours instead: calls happen in my evening, booked a few days ahead. My Monday starts at 10:15 pm Eastern on your Sunday in winter, or 11:15 pm in summer, so Friday approvals are moving before your week begins.
Clock changesUS clocks go forward on the second Sunday of March and back on the first Sunday of November; next on 14 March and 7 November 2027. Nepal never changes, so every gap shrinks by an hour in summer.

One call a week, in your morning, on Google Meet or Zoom, with written notes after.
Written English for everything else, by email or Slack, answered within one working day.
A preview link every week that you click through on your own phone.
Short screen recordings when a change needs explaining.

US market
ADA, Privacy and Google in the US, Built in from Day One
US websites face rules and search habits that sites in Nepal don’t. Fixing them after launch costs more than building them in.
ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA Accessibility
US businesses receive ADA demand letters over sites that screen-reader and keyboard users can’t use. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the usual yardstick, named in the Justice Department’s 2024 rule for government sites, and I build to it.
There is no single federal privacy law. California’s CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, and other state laws govern what you collect and how people opt out, so I add clear notices, consent and “Do Not Sell or Share” links where they apply.
Part of every build
Ranking on Google in the US
US search is crowded, and Google rolled out AI Overviews to US users first. Pages that answer in the opening lines, with structured data and green Core Web Vitals, rank in classic results and get cited in AI answers.
If you serve a city or a service area, your Google Business Profile and location pages do most of the work. I build service-area pages that genuinely differ, with LocalBusiness markup.
Built with these rules in mind; your lawyer has the final say. I’m a developer, not an attorney, so treat this as a technical standard, not legal advice or a guarantee against claims.

USD Quotes, Contracts and IP Ownership
You get one fixed price in US dollars after a short call, against a written contract that lists exactly what’s included. Payments follow the contract milestones, by bank transfer, Wise or PayPal, so you pay for work you can already see.

Services
Web Development and SEO for US Small Businesses
Small businesses are 99.9% of US firms, by the SBA’s count, and most can’t justify an agency retainer. They hire me for a first product, or a site that finally ranks.
Business Websites
Next.js or WordPress sites in US English, fast on a phone and accessible from the first build.
Yes. I work with US companies as an independent contractor from Itahari, Nepal, with a fixed USD quote, a written contract, payment by bank transfer, Wise or PayPal, and an NDA if you want one. Code and IP transfer to you on payment. I’ve worked with clients in the US, UK, Australia, Canada and the Gulf.
How Do I Hire a Web Developer from Nepal?
Send me a short note on WhatsApp or by email with what you need, your deadline and your time zone. We then have a 30-minute call in your morning, and I send a fixed quote in USD with the scope and milestones in writing. Once the contract, and an NDA if you want one, is signed, work starts with a preview link every week.
Should I Hire Through a Marketplace or Directly?
A marketplace such as Upwork or Arc helps when you want to compare many profiles quickly. Hiring directly suits you once you’ve found someone whose live work you trust: the contract is between your company and me, you pay by bank transfer, Wise or PayPal, and you keep the same person after launch for fixes and SEO.
What is the Time Difference Between Nepal and New York?
Nepal is 10 hours 45 minutes ahead of New York from November to March, and 9 hours 45 minutes ahead from March to November, because Nepal has no daylight saving time. So 9:00 am in New York is 7:45 pm in Nepal in winter and 6:45 pm in summer.
Can We Meet During US Business Hours?
Yes, in your morning. I book calls in my evening, up to midnight Nepal time: 9:00 am to 1:15 pm Eastern in winter, or to 2:15 pm in summer. On the West Coast it’s 9:00 to 10:15 am Pacific in winter, or to 11:15 am in summer. Most weeks need one call.
How Much Does It Cost to Outsource Website Development to Nepal?
It depends on scope. You get one fixed figure in USD after a short call, before work starts; a business site costs less than a SaaS product with accounts and payments. Design, build, SEO setup and launch are included, while domain, hosting and paid tools are extra. The number you sign is the number you pay.
Will My Website Meet ADA and WCAG Standards?
I build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard most US website accessibility claims are measured against, and test keyboard use, focus, contrast, labels and screen-reader output before launch. That lowers your risk, but no developer can promise immunity from claims, so your lawyer has the final say.
Do You Sign NDAs and Transfer IP to US Companies?
Yes. I’ll sign your mutual NDA, or send one, before you share details. The contract states that code, designs, repository and intellectual property transfer to your company on payment, and domain, hosting and accounts are in your company’s name from the start.
How Do US Clients Pay a Developer in Nepal?
In USD, by bank transfer, Wise or PayPal, against invoices that match the contract milestones. If your accounts staff need a Form W-8BEN to document a foreign contractor, I can fill one in; your accountant decides what paperwork you need.
Can You Do SEO for the US Market from Nepal?
Yes. Search engines judge your pages, not where the person improving them sits. I research keywords on US search data, write in US English, add structured data and fix technical SEO in the code, plus Google Business Profile for local firms. Rankings depend on competition, so nobody can honestly guarantee a position.
Is a Freelancer in Nepal as Reliable as a US Agency?
For most startup and small-business projects, yes: you deal directly with the person writing your code, and weekly preview links show real progress. A US agency suits you better if you need many specialists at once or someone in your office, and if your project is that size, I’ll say so on the first call.
