Consultancies & Language Institutes
A page for each country, course and test, class schedules that stay current, enquiry forms that open WhatsApp, and plain answers about costs and intakes that AI assistants can quote.
I’m Ujjwal Rupakheti, a full-stack web developer and SEO expert based in Itahari. For 3+ years I’ve built websites, online stores and SaaS products for businesses across Nepal. Kathmandu clients work with me online, over WhatsApp and video calls, and I travel to the valley when a project needs a meeting in person.
The Kathmandu market
More than two million people lived in Kathmandu District at the 2021 census, and almost every kind of business you can name already has dozens of competitors online. That changes how a website has to be built, and how its SEO has to be done.
Kathmandu is where the federal government and most head offices sit, and where most international visitors land, at Tribhuvan International Airport. Around that core are the trades that keep the city busy: hotels and trekking agencies in Thamel, study-abroad consultancies and language institutes around Putalisadak, wholesale and retail in Asan and New Road, and clinics in every ward.
People here rarely search for “Kathmandu” alone. They type the neighbourhood, such as a dentist in Baneshwor or a hotel in Thamel, or open Google Maps and tap whatever is closest, because crossing the city in traffic can easily take an hour. Professional services are mostly searched in English, everyday needs in Nepali or Romanised Nepali, and more people now ask ChatGPT or Gemini which consultancy or clinic to choose.
So a Kathmandu website has three jobs at once: load fast on a phone, agree exactly with a Google Business Profile that is precise down to the street, and answer questions clearly enough for search engines and AI assistants to quote it.
Searches I plan pages for. Most name a neighbourhood or a need, not only the city.
Who I build for
The capital’s biggest sectors each need something different online. These are the six I’m asked about most, and what I build for each of them.
A page for each country, course and test, class schedules that stay current, enquiry forms that open WhatsApp, and plain answers about costs and intakes that AI assistants can quote.
Room and package pages that take enquiries directly, details that match your TripAdvisor and booking-site listings, and pages for the treks and mountain flights travellers search for.
Doctor and department pages, opening hours that match Google Maps, and medical structured data, so patients nearby find the right number at the right time.
Stores with eSewa, Khalti and Fonepay, delivery charges for inside and outside the Ring Road, and product pages whose prices can show in Google results.
A focused first version with accounts, plans and payments in rupees, built on the same stack as the live products I built, Eknas and Jhino.
Bilingual sites with notices, reports and job pages your staff can update, plus HR, payroll or inventory systems once the paperwork outgrows spreadsheets.
Judge the work before you call: my own products are live at eknas.com, jhino.com and heligo.studionepal.com, and every project is written up in my case studies.
“Within months, our hospitality business was ranking for keywords we never thought possible.”
Proof
Monalisa Hospitality, a hospitality brand in Pokhara and Kathmandu, is one of the businesses whose SEO I’ve worked on. These are the client results I can share, from local search work like the work a Kathmandu business needs.
6

400%
more phone calls in a quarter for a local service in Itahari
1,200
organic visitors a month for a Biratnagar store, up from 0
4.9/5
average client rating, with 15+ clients served

Local SEO
Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence. You can’t move your shop closer to every customer in a city this dense, so the work goes into the other two, and into a site that turns the click into a call.
| What I do | What I often find | |
|---|---|---|
| Google Business Profile | An exact pin, the right primary category, real photos and hours that match the website | A pin on the wrong lane and a category picked in a hurry |
| Area pages | One page per real branch or delivery zone, with the landmarks people actually use | Twenty copies of one page with the area name swapped |
| Reviews | A short WhatsApp link and a routine your staff follow after each visit | A burst of reviews at launch, then silence |
| Language | English for professional services, Nepali where customers use it, both marked up correctly | English only, or a translation plugin Google can’t read |
| Speed | Light pages tested on mobile data and watched in Search Console | Heavy themes, sliders and uncompressed photos |
| AI answers | Plain answers, FAQs and business schema that ChatGPT and Gemini can cite | Nothing an assistant can quote |
Every step is explained in my guides to Google Business Profile setup in Nepal, the technical SEO checklist and how to do SEO in 2026. For the full service across Nepal, see SEO expert in Nepal or start with an SEO audit.
Working together
Nepal runs on one time zone, so my working day is your working day. We talk on WhatsApp, Viber or a video call, in Nepali or English, and you get a preview link every week instead of one big reveal at the end. You pay in stages against a written quote, by eSewa, Khalti or bank transfer.
Pricing
Prices are the same across Nepal: websites from NPR 18,000, online stores from NPR 60,000, SaaS from NPR 70,000 and SEO audits from NPR 15,000. There is no capital-city surcharge and no account manager to pay for; the quote covers the work.

Hosting, the domain, paid plugins and SEO tools sit outside these figures. The complete list is on services and pricing; SEO cost in Nepal shows what each budget buys.
Coverage
I work with businesses in every ward of the metropolitan city and in the other municipalities of Kathmandu District. Across the Bagmati, the Lalitpur page covers Patan’s market, and the Bhaktapur page covers the heritage trade further east.
Cost, meetings, payment and how long rankings take in the capital.
Ask me on WhatsAppNo list is official, so test any developer the same way: open their live products, check how fast those load on your phone, and ask who fixes the SEO after launch. My work is public in ten case studies with live links, and I’m happy to walk you through any of them on a call.
With me, a static website starts at NPR 18,000 and a business website with a CMS at NPR 35,000. An online store with eSewa, Khalti and Fonepay starts at NPR 60,000. Domain and hosting are extra, and the exact figure is fixed in writing after a short call about your pages and features.
No. I work from Itahari in Koshi Province and serve Kathmandu clients online. That suits most projects, because websites, Search Console and Google Business Profiles are all managed online anyway. When a meeting in person genuinely helps, I plan a visit to the valley with you.
Yes, when it’s worth it. Typical reasons are a planning workshop with several of your staff, training before launch, or a day photographing your premises. Flights from Biratnagar take about 35 minutes, so a visit is easy to arrange once we agree the date and the travel cost up front.
Longer than in a smaller city, because more businesses compete for each search. Correcting a Google Business Profile can move map results within a few weeks. Ranking a website for a phrase like “best dentist in Kathmandu” usually takes 3 to 6 months of steady work, and nobody can honestly promise a fixed position.
Only where you have a real branch, a delivery zone or something genuinely different to say about that area. Twenty near-identical pages with the neighbourhood name swapped look like spam to Google and rarely rank. One solid page per real location, linked to its own Maps listing, does far more.
Yes. A consultancy site needs a page for each destination country and test, intake dates that are easy to update, and enquiry forms that reach your counsellors on WhatsApp. I also write the answers students ask about costs and visas so that search engines and AI assistants can quote them.
Yes. A focused first version starts at NPR 70,000 and usually takes 6 to 12 weeks: sign-up, plans, payments in rupees and an admin console. I’ve launched my own SaaS products, including Eknas and Jhino, and the code is yours after the final payment.
By eSewa, Khalti or bank transfer, in stages tied to the written quote, so you never pay for work you haven’t seen. Each payment is agreed before the matching stage starts, and you can follow progress on a preview link every week.
It depends on who searches for you. Professional services in Kathmandu are mostly searched in English, while food, repairs and household needs are often searched in Nepali. I can build in either language or both, with hreflang tags so Google shows each visitor the right version.
Share a link to your site or Maps listing and tell me which searches matter most. First observations and a fixed quote reach you within one working day.
